Yogendra Yogi (Yogiji)

Yogiji was born in 1959 in a small village in northern India. As a Brahmin, he grew up in a traditional Hindu environment and was immersed in the arts of puja and meditation from childhood. He has travelled all over India, including five years spent in the Himalayan mountains with gurus and mystics, and has visited and stayed at numerous ashrams. He was always attracted to the yogic lifestyle (to the concern of his parents!) and, during his travels, he learned many kinds of yoga techniques and had a number of yogic, mystic experiences.

His formal credits include a master's degree in philosophy from Agra University, and a diploma in yoga education from Kaivalyadham, one of India's most esteemed yoga teaching schools. In 1998 he established a small ashram in the town of Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas. Over the years, numerous yoga and meditation students from all over the world have visited him and, as a result, he has received a number of invitations to teach abroad; he has visited numerous countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Japan and the USA.

Where: Cricket Cove Knitting Shop at 303 Mountain Road, Moncton
Participants will felt a Mandala and learn all about the Meditative properties of it and how to use it to assist with their meditation programs. The background colour for the Mandalas will vary depending
on the wool I have available at the time of the workshop.

Cost: $40 plus cost of wool and tools (approximately $20)

Yogendra Yogi (Yogiji)

Yogiji was born in 1959 in a small village in northern India. As a Brahmin, he grew up in a traditional Hindu environment and was immersed in the arts of puja and meditation from childhood. He has travelled all over India, including five years spent in the Himalayan mountains with gurus and mystics, and has visited and stayed at numerous ashrams. He was always attracted to the yogic lifestyle (to the concern of his parents!) and, during his travels, he learned many kinds of yoga techniques and had a number of yogic, mystic experiences.

His formal credits include a master's degree in philosophy from Agra University, and a diploma in yoga education from Kaivalyadham, one of India's most esteemed yoga teaching schools. In 1998 he established a small ashram in the town of Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas. Over the years, numerous yoga and meditation students from all over the world have visited him and, as a result, he has received a number of invitations to teach abroad; he has visited numerous countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Japan and the USA.
